Come Try Your First Agility Trial!

​

The AKC Agility Course Test (ACT) 1 is a great introduction to the experience of an agility trial. You and your dog will have the opportunity to practice checking in, walking the course, waiting your turn, entering the ring, and completing a trial run—all in a supportive environment.

​

Cost: $15 per run. If your dog successfully completes 2 rounds, they will receive an ACT 1 ribbon and title. Course maps will be available at the building.

​

• ACT 1 is a standard course with jumps, tunnels, a table and an a-frame.

• ACT 1 Jumpers is a course with jumps only.

You may enter one or more ACT 1 runs. Each run is $15.

​

Your dog does NOT need to be registered with the AKC.

​

If your dog isn't currently registered with the AKC, that's okay! You can still participate in the ACT 1. If you and your dog earn a title and you would like that title information recorded with the AKC, you can complete the appropriate AKC registration afterward.

 

A NOTE FOR NEW COMPETITORS

 

Don't worry if you've never been to an agility trial before! We'll help you understand what to do and where to go. This is an opportunity to learn by doing, gain some ring experience, and have fun with your dog. And remember—you can earn a ribbon and an official ACT 1 title! 🏆

GLORY RUNS

 

While you're here, stay and cheer for our “Old Masters” as they return to the agility ring for a special Glory Run, which will be held between the two ACT courses. These are beloved agility dogs who have retired from competition but are coming back for one more chance to enjoy the course, celebrate their accomplishments, and share the ring with their friends. ❤️🐾
