At Canine Connection Brainerd Kennel Club, we are proud to help connect certified therapy dog teams with organizations throughout the Brainerd Lakes Area.

We are currently building this program and preparing teams to serve. Our goal is to be fully ready to begin visits by Fall 2026.

Therapy dogs bring comfort, reduce stress, and create meaningful moments of connection. Whether it’s a gentle head resting on a knee or a quiet visit with a friendly face, these interactions can brighten someone’s entire day.

Our therapy dog teams are available to visit:

• Assisted living and senior care communities

• Hospitals and healthcare facilities

• Counseling centers

• Community events

What to Expect

Our therapy dog teams are certified and trained to provide safe, positive, and respectful visits. Handlers remain present with their dogs at all times, ensuring interactions are comfortable for both participants and the dogs.

Visits can be structured or informal depending on your setting and goals. We are happy to work with you to create an experience that best serves your group.
