Winter Session 2: Intro to Weaves
Six-week Session: Starting on Feb. 24th, 7 pm to 7:50 pm every Tuesday
Service Description
This course is designed to introduce dogs and handlers to weave pole skills in a fun, progressive, and confidence-building way. Teams will learn proper entry understanding, body awareness, and independent weaving using reward-based training methods. We will break the weaving behavior into small, achievable steps to help dogs develop accuracy, rhythm, and enthusiasm for the obstacle. This class is ideal for teams who are new to weave poles or who want to strengthen foundation skills before advancing to full competition-level weaves. Emphasis will be placed on handler mechanics, timing of reinforcement, and building value for the poles. Prerequisite: Dogs should be comfortable working in a group class setting and have basic handler focus and foundation agility skills.
