Late Fall 2026: Beginning Obedience

Six-week session: Tuesdays 7:40 - 8:40P Starting Oct. 27

Service Description

Ready to take your dog’s training to the next level? This class is designed for dogs and handlers who have completed a Puppy or New Dog class and are ready to build a stronger foundation in obedience. We’ll work on essential skills such as sit, down, stay, come, heel, and attention, while gradually adding distractions and increasing your dog’s ability to listen and respond. You’ll learn how to communicate clearly with your dog, build reliable responses, and make training a fun and rewarding experience. Through a combination of instruction, practice, and engaging exercises, you and your dog will develop the skills and teamwork needed for success at home and in everyday situations. This class also provides a foundation for those interested in formal obedience competition or serves as a great introduction to Rally, where you and your dog work together through a course of obedience exercises. Prerequisite: Dogs should have attended a Puppy or New Dog class or have equivalent basic training experience.
